As an Association, NAMM takes the issue of Child Slavery and the subject of Ethically Sourced Stone very seriously. NAMM fully supports the promotion of ethically sourced materials and the banning of child labor or bonded labor and unsafe working conditions in any quarry or factory.

The need for our Members to supply Ethically Sourced Stone is a most important obligation, and NAMM Wholesale Members are required to confirm that; “To the best of their knowledge there are no issues with their suppliers and all stone they wholesale is ethically sourced regarding the welfare of workers and/or child slavery. Also, all goods and services are being provided by workers through their own free will in line with the UK’s Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) which aims to prevent all forms of labor exploitation and increase transparency of labor practices in supply chains.”
