The afternoon session is a practical demonstration using at least one of the accredited ground anchors. There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the demonstration.
Please note: Attending the training course alone does not qualify the candidate to fix memorials. This course is a precursor for a written and practical assessment to be carried out at a later date where the candidate will be observed by a NAMM assessor fixing a lawn type memorial. On successful completion of the assessment candidates are awarded the NAMM City & Guilds Assured Certification for the fixing of lawn type memorials.
Permanent Record of Achievement: This course is a precursor for a written and practical assessment where the successful candidate will be awarded NAMM City & Guilds Assured Certification for the fixing of lawn-type memorials. A permanent record of achievement will also be registered on the City & Guilds Assured website, details of which can be linked to social media websites and used as live evidence of achievement, self-promotional material, and personal CV verification.
Course Aims: To promote required knowledge and practical ability to meet required standards.
Assessment Objective: To enable the candidate to demonstrate the fixing of a lawn memorial to industry-required standards and demonstrate required knowledge.
Assessment Criteria: To demonstrate through practical and written assessment the required understanding, knowledge, and practical ability to undertake the safe and appropriate fixing of a Lawn Memorial to the standards laid down in the NAMM Code of Working Practice in accordance with BS8415-2018 guidance.
